Joe and Tonya

Joe and Tonya

 Dear Birth Family,

We are Joe and Tonya and look forward to sharing a little about ourselves with you. Upon meeting each other we talked about marriage and a future family; a family to share our faith, love, large extended family and many family traditions. When we learned that we couldn't have a natural child, adoption was the first thing that we discussed as we still dream about having children. We can offer a child all the love in the world and an extended family that is equally as eager to help, love and support a child. Joe and I value our faith, marriage and our family. Having 17 nieces and nephews we love and adore each one and blessed to live near them all and share in many memories.

We met through a blind date in 2008. Both unsure about a blind date, we agree now it was best thing that happened to us. From the beginning we were meant for each other. We got married in 2010 and have been married for two years. We are best friends that cannot imagine life without one another and share a very open and honest relationship. Our marriage is our foundation and our commitment to one another is present every day. We are blessed to live amongst a variety of orchards, farms and a short drive to Grand Rapids. At home we enjoy spending time in our vegetable garden or just relaxing. We put a great deal of energy into filling our days with enriching experiences both inside and outside of our home.

Joe is my husband and best friend. He is the most caring and compassionate person I know and is the favorite uncle amongst our many nieces and nephews. Joe works as a machine operator for a field drainage company. He enjoys his job very much because he loves to be outdoors. Joe looks forward to the opportunity to introduce a child to nature and all the beauty of the outdoors. He is a very patient man and would do anything for his family. He is an amazing husband and will be the best father. Some of Joe's favorite things are... fishing, woodworking, hunting, lasagna, snowmobiling, hiking, skiing, vanilla ice cream and anything with peanut butter in it. Tonya and I have been married for 2 wonderful years. I love her because she is an amazing cook, enthusiastic, hard working and not afraid to try new and exciting adventures. Most of all she is honest, caring and compassionate. Tonya is an adoption worker and loves her job helping families. She loves spending time with all her nieces and nephews making cookies, having sleep overs or doing arts and crafts. Tonya loves children and is a great partner in life and I thank God for her everyday! Some of Tonya's favorite things are: reading, scrapbooking, cooking, Mexican food, swimming, perch fishing, curling up on the sofa to watch a good movie and spending.

Although we share many highlights and happy times of our lives, we want whoever is reading this to know that we are real people and have ups and downs like everyone else. We lead real lives and only hope to have the opportunity to share our lives with a child. We thank you for taking the time to learn more about our family. We have tremendous respect for you and the choice you are making and we greatly appreciate you considering us to be the parents of your child.

God Bless,

Joe ad Tonya
