Bigs in Business

Changing Perspectives. Changing Lives.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Grand Rapids helps children and teens realize their potential and build their futures. We nurture youth and strengthen communities and believe that inherent in every young person is the ability to succeed and thrive in life.

As Grand Rapids’ largest donor and volunteer supported mentoring network, Big Brothers Big Sisters:

Makes meaningful, monitored matches between adult volunteers (“Bigs”) and children and teens (“Littles”).

Is proven by independent studies to help youth and families through our signature one-to-one mentoring.

Improves the odds that the children and teens in our programs will perform better in school, avoid violence and illegal activities, have stronger relationships with their parents and peers and succeed as adults.
