The Adolescent Program
This small, open residential program specializes in the treatment of youth ages 13-18. The focus is on healing past trauma; developing a healthy identity; learning independent living skills; developing executive, language processing, emotional regulation, cognitive flexibility and social thinking skills; and preparing for permanent placements.
Boys and girls live in homes separated by age, and in most cases, have single bedrooms that reflect their unique tastes and personalities.
Teens receive intensive individual therapy, group therapy and family therapy based on their individualized treatment needs and goals. Each home has a licensed therapist trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing with specialized training in anxiety, depression, substance abuse and sensory integration. The therapist-to-child child ratio is 1:10.
